BTS rapper J-Hope announces 2025 world tour: which US cities will he be playing?
The ‘Hope on the Stage’ world tour will include four stopoffs in North America and shows in Mexico City.
Great news for all K-Pop fans, J-Hope, one of the members of South Korean boy band BTS, has announced dates for a solo world tour which kicks off in Seoul, next month.
The 31-date ‘Hope on the Stage’ will take the Chicken Noodle Soup rapper to 10 countries, including the United States and Mexico although the majority of the shows announced so far are aimed at his main fanbase in Asia.
The announcement was made through the artist’s social media, amid rumors that BTS could return to the stage. The group’s last live appearance was a benefit show at Busan Asiad Main Stadium in Busan, South Korea in October 2022.
The group has taken a break while all seven members were called up for mandatory military service.
Jin and J-Hope completed their military service last year and Suga, RM, Jimin, Jungkook and V are expected to be discharged in June.
Where will J-Hope be playing in the United States?
The artist will kick off his 2025 tour with three nights at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea. Two-night shows are scheduled for the rest of the tour which includes dates in five US cities.
J-Hope opens the North American leg of his tour at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Thursday 13 March. Two nights at the 22,000-seater Allstate Arena in Chicago follows with pre-sale ticket prices starting at $624.
Then the tour moves south of the border to Mexico City with a couple of shows at the Palacio De Los Deportes. The Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, the home of the Spurs will be J-Hope‘s next port of call, followed by dates in Oakland and Los Angeles.
Details of the Californian dates will be released shortly with the singer’s management issuing a brief statement: “Due to the large-scale wildfires in California, USA, and their resulting impact on the region, the detailed notice for the North American tour will be announced at a later date. We kindly ask for your understanding.”
BTS have toured the US four times since their first show on American soil in New York in July 2015. The group’s last appearance in the country was in June 2022 when they filmed a mini-concert at the abandoned Lake Dolores Waterpark in Los Angeles.
Tickets for the three Seoul dates will go on pre-sale at 8 p.m. KST on Tuesday 14 January. Details of tickets for the US shows will be announced in the next few days through BTS' official webpage.
