Can you watch ‘Temptation Island Spain’ in the US? Here’s how to stream Montoya and Anita’s viral show online
Spain’s ‘Temptation Island’ has gone global thanks to the viral “Montoya for favor” video, which has been used in numerous memes.
“Temptation Island Spain” (“Isla de las Tentaciones”) has caused quite a stir in recent days, and there’s both good news and bad news for those of you who can’t resist the temptation to watch.
How to watch ‘Temptation Island Spain’ in the US
The bad news is that, theoretically, there’s no way to watch “Temptation Island Spain” in the United States, as it is broadcast exclusively on Spanish television channel Telecinco. The good news, however, is that you can watch it for free on the Telecinco website, as long as you have a VPN and set it to Spain (the kind of ‘free’ that doesn’t include paying for the VPN).
Interest in the show has been driven by José Carlos Montoya’s viral “Montoya por favor” video that has been used in endless online memes, including by the official accounts of the Brooklyn Nets, the Boston Celtics, US Open (tennis) and Formula 1.

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of watching so far, Temptation Spain follows the same format as its American equivalent. That is, couples travel to an island to have their fidelity tested by other contestants who are single and ready to mingle, shall we say.
Who is Montoya?
Montoya became a global sensation overnight due to his dramatic reaction to being forced to watch a live feed of girlfriend Anita (seemingly) cheating on him with Manuel, one of the singletons.
“You’ve broken me! You’ve broken me! You’ve destroyed me!” screamed Montoya, who presenter Sandra Barneda had to chase along the beach as he made his way towards the house where the cheating pair were getting down to business.
Ultimately, nobody was (physically) hurt and Montoya, you’ll be pleased to hear, appears to have gotten over his destruction fairly swiftly.
In a move that nobody saw coming, he got his “revenge” on Anita with Gabriella, with whom he moved from the jacuzzi to the bedroom via a striptease. You can probably imagine what (supposedly) happened thereafter.
Anita, for what it’s worth, was hugely unimpressed after also being made to watch clips of her boyfriend’s racy antics. “What a disgusting person,” she rather hypocritically claimed. The irony was lost on few.
