Charles Barkley is ready to bury the hatchet and be friends with former pal Michael Jordan.

What happened between Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan?

The former NBA players had a falling out in 2012 when Barkley called out Jordan’s time as an owner, claiming Jordan surrounded himself with “yes-men”.

Jordan seemingly took his friend’s comments to heart, and their friendship came to an abrupt end.

No resolution in sight between Barkley and Jordan

Now, Barkley is saying he has a growing interest in rekindling his friendship with his fellow ‘Space Jam’ star, but he hasn’t heard back from his old friend.

Barkley recently appeared on ‘60 Minutes’ and said there was no resolution in sight.

“He got my number,” Barkley said about Jordan, leaving it up to his old friend to bounce the ball back.

Barkley later joined ‘The Dan Patrick Show’ and was asked if he had heard back from Jordan, to which he responded he hadn’t.

He then pointed out that the media are making it seem like his falling out with Jordan is like that of Prince William and Prince Harry.

“You know what’s funny?” said Barkley. “I’ve never had more people ask me about two dudes, they act like we’re Prince William and Prince Harry.

“I love Michael like a brother. He’s doing great, I’m doing great. He got mad at me, it’s no big deal. It’s unfortunate, but I wish him nothing but the best.

“It’s no big deal”, he added.

Getting real with Tom Brady

When Barkley spoke with NFL star Tom Brady in 2022, he referred to the falling out as the worst thing to happen to him since the beginning of his media career.

“One of the reasons I hate reporters, guys like Skip Bayless and people like that,” Barkley said during the show, “you can tell the guys they like and dislike.”

“That ain’t right. You should be fair. Just because me and Michael are great friends, I’m not gonna give him a hall pass.”
