‘Deadpool 3′ unphased by WGA strike as filming begins

The ‘Deadpool’ stars have kicked off filming with a script prepared before the Hollywood writers’ strike.

Update:
Deadpool 3

‘Deadpool 3′ production has begun, with the Marvel Studios film well underway, much to the excitement of the franchise’s stars.

The cast of ‘Deadpool 3′ celebrated with an image on social media.

The cast back in action

In an Instagram story, actor Stefan Kapicic — who plays the role of Colossus — has confirmed that the production of the third installment of Ryan Reynolds’ Mouthy Mercenary at Marvel Studios is officially underway.

The photo shows Kapicic with the current ‘Deadpool 3′ logo alongside co-stars Morena Baccarin, Karan Soni, and Brianna Hildebrand. The picture included the word “confirmed” overlaying the image, indicating that the crew began filming May 23.

The film also sees the return of Ryan Reynolds’ long-time frenemy, Hugh Jackman, as Wolverine.

Will the Hollywood screenwriters’ strike affect the shooting?

While ‘Deadpool 3′ will have its problems during production due to the ongoing screenwriters’ strike, the start of filming is an exciting development for the first mutant character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film, directed by Shawn Levy, is also the first in UCM history to earn an R rating.

What is the movie about?

Early plot details have hinted that this will be a fish-out-of-water story for Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Colossus, and their X-Men posse cross between dimensions and join the Marvel Studios story for the first time.

‘Deadpool 3′ rumors further point to Mobius, the character characterized by Owen Wilson in the ‘Loki’ series, chasing the Mouthy Mercenary and his crew across the Multiverse.

Although no one involved has confirmed official details about the plot.
