Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks are the 2023 ACM Awards hosts
The music icons are set to take the stage together for one of country music’s biggest nights
It’s official, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks are finally collaborating… as hosts of the 2023 ACM Awards.
The Academy of Country Music Awards is back for its 58th year, with two of the genre’s biggest icons taking the stage together this year.
Although this is Brooks first time as a co-host for the event, he’ll be in good hands with Parton coming back to host for a second year in a row.
“I am thrilled to return to host the ACM Awards, this time with my friend Garth,” Parton said in a press release. “While I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with him throughout the years, I can’t believe we’ve never had the chance to work together.”
With such a long history at this award show, Brooks said that he hopes the duo does a good job to represent country music.
“All I hope that we do as a pair is represent [country music] well.” He told Billboard in a recent interview “I mean, you’ve got your foundation and what you’re looking for here. You’ve got talent and class. Let’s represent country music the best that we can.”
A taste of Parton’s new music is on the way
Parton also took the chance to reveal that new music is coming sooner than fans may have thought.
“In addition to getting to see all this great new talent in country music, I am excited to have the chance to premiere the lead single from my upcoming rock album on the show!” Parton said in a press release.
Back in December 2022 the ‘9 to 5′ singer announced that her upcoming album titled ‘Rock Star’ is set to be released sometime “next fall.”
What you need to know about the 2023 ACM Awards
The Academy of Country Music Awards, also known as the ACM Awards, were first held in 1966. The award was made with the goal of honoring the industry’s accomplishments during the previous year.
With the event close to a month away, country fans should start planning now if they want to attend the show in person.
A limited number of tickets are available now on SeatGeek, and if you’re coming from out of town, fan hotel information is available on ACM’s website.

The 2023 ACM Awards are set to take place on May 11, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. EDT, at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas.
