Social network Twitter CEO Elon Musk has found a replacement for himself as head of Twitter.

The billionaire announced Thursday that he has hired a new chief executive officer to replace him as head of the platform, while noting that he would remain executive chairman and chief technology officer of his company.

Musk acquired the social media platform October 27, 2022, after buying company shares since January 2022.

The billionaire became the social giant’s chief shareholder by April 2022, with a 9.1 percent stake in the company.

A woman will replace Elon Musk as head of Twitter.

Elon Musk has announced that he will step down in June, and a woman will replace him.

In a message posted on his social media channels, the current Twitter CEO announced that he “has found a new CEO” for the company.

“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter,” Musk posted to his official account. “She will be starting in ~6 weeks!”

According to media reports, the new CEO is expected to start in June, and the identity of the woman has not yet been disclosed.

Is Elon Musk leaving Twitter?

Elon Musk will continue to work at the company, but will take on other roles.

“My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops,” the businessman continued in his Twitter post.
