Jennifer Lopez is getting candid about her views on marriage - and it sounds like she’s ready to close that chapter for good.

During a recent concert in Spain, a fan held up a sign proposing marriage to the pop icon. Lopez, known for hits like “On the Floor,” responded with a smile and a revelation: “I think I’m done with that,” she told the crowd, according to a fan video shared on X. “Yeah, I tried that a few times.”

And she’s not exaggerating. Lopez has been engaged six times and married four - each ending in divorce.

Her most recent relationship was with actor Ben Affleck. The two rekindled their early-2000s romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022. However, Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024. She later opened up about the split in an October interview with comedian Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine.

“It feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary,” she said. “It feels sad. It feels desperate. But when you sit in those feelings and go, ‘These things are not going to kill me,’ it’s like actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself.

“Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, ‘No, I’m actually good.’”

A look back at J.Lo’s love life

Lopez’s first marriage was to Cuban actor Ojani Noa in 1997, but the couple split less than a year later. In 2001, she married backup dancer Cris Judd, but that relationship also ended within a year. By the time their divorce was finalized in early 2003, Lopez was already engaged to Affleck.

The original “Bennifer” era began in 2002, with Affleck proposing that November. But by January 2004, the engagement was off. Later that year, Lopez married singer Marc Anthony. The couple, who share 17-year-old twins Emme and Max, separated in 2011 and finalized their divorce in 2014.

In 2017, “The Bronx Diva” began dating former Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. He proposed in 2019, but the couple called off the engagement in April 2021.

That same spring, Lopez and Affleck reignited their romance. They married in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony on July 16, 2022, followed by a lavish three-day celebration in Georgia the following month.
