From Shakira to Bad Bunny: These are the performers with the most Billboard Latin Music Awards
Ahead of the latest edition of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, we take a look at the gala’s most decorated artists of all time.

On the night of October 23, Florida will roll out the red carpet for one of Latin music’s most prestigious events: the Billboard Latin Music Awards. The ceremony will take place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, kicking off at 8 p.m. ET, with hosts Goyo and Javier Poza leading the evening’s festivities.
Bad Bunny dominates the nominations - again
In a development that surprises no one, Bad Bunny tops the list of nominees with a staggering 27 nods, setting a new record as the most-nominated artist in the history of the awards. Following closely behind the Puerto Rican superstar and his chart-topping album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS is Fuerza Regida, with 15 nominations, while Rauw Alejandro, Karol G and Tito Double P each earned 10.
Over the past few years, Bad Bunny - born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio - has become a fixture at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, consistently breaking records for both nominations and wins. In 2021, he made history by taking home 10 awards in a single night, the most ever by one artist.
To date, he has amassed 42 Billboard Latin Music Awards, including in major categories like Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year. He also holds the record for the most Top 10 hits on the Hot Latin Songs chart. In recognition of his global impact, Bad Bunny will receive a special honor during this year’s ceremony: the Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century Award.
Chasing down Enrique Iglesias
Bad Bunny’s current dominance is such that he is within sight of overhauling Enrique Iglesias, who holds the record for the most Billboard Latin Music Awards by a male artist, with 48 wins.
Iglesias’ accolades span key categories such as Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year (Male), Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year (Male), and Latin Pop Albums Artist of the Year (Solo). In 2020, Iglesias was also honored with the Top Latin Artist of All Time award, recognizing the enduring influence of his music.
Shakira reigns among female artists
On the women’s side, Shakira stands alone at the top with 41 Billboard Latin Music Awards to her name. Her wins include Top Latin Artist, Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year (Female), Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year (Female), and Latin Pop Albums Artist of the Year (Solo). The singer has also received special awards, such as a lifetime-achievement accolade in 2011.
