Get out the Kleenex: This is Miles Teller’s amazing Christmas present for his wife

Buying Christmas presents for loved ones isn’t always straightforward. But Miles Teller knew what he could gift Keleigh this year. The actor came up a brilliant, original idea which made his partner’s day.

The Tellers’ Pacific Palisades home razed to the ground

When the Palisades wildfires⁠⁠ ravaged Los Angeles back in January, the Tellers’ home was completely destroyed. And while they manage to safely evacuate, many personal belongings of sentimental value were lost forever. Among them was the dress which Keleigh had worn on their wedding day in Hawaii in September 2019 - a loss which she was particularly upset about.

In a message on Instagram, Keleigh lamented not being able to salvage her most precious belongings. “Community has come out stronger than I could imagine. Pacific Palisades, I love you beyond measure… we will come back stronger than ever. I wish I grabbed my wedding dress, wish I did a lot different but it doesn’t matter, stay safe, get out. There are no words. THANK YOU to the first responders fighting.”

The perfect Christmas gift

So when it came to buying a Christmas gift for his wife, Miles knew exactly what he had to do.

He contacted designer Monique Lhuilier and hired her to secretly remake Keleigh‘s wedding gown - an exact replica of the one she lost in the fires. His plan was kept a guarded secret, to ensure his wife would get a pleasant surprise on the big day.

And she did. Both dressed in red pajamas and Santa hats, Miles recorded the moment when his wife opened her Christmas present, hidden inside a bright red box with green bows. Keleigh is seen pulling a garment bag out of the box and has an idea what it might be. “Is this my wedding dress?” she asks.

“Yeah!” chuckles Miles, as his wife unzips the grey bag to reveal a replica of her beloved dress.

Keleigh took to Instagram to publicly thank Monique Lhuilier for doing such a great job of remaking the dress - and to thank Miles for being so thoughtful: “Sweetest husband,” she wrote.
