On Thursday 16 November, the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards will be held. Since its inaugural ceremony in the year 2000, this event has honoured the finest artists across various musical genres. This will mark the first occasion that the awards are hosted outside the United States, specifically in Spain, in the city of Seville.
The Latin Grammy Awards originated from the Grammy Awards, one of the most prestigious accolades in the music industry, established in 1957. Since their inception, the Recording Academy has recognized excellence in music, spanning genres such as pop, rock, R&B, jazz, rap, Latin music, classical, musical theatre, and more. The awards have acknowledged the contributions of thousands of musical creators.

Most Grammys
Beyoncé: 32 awards - At the 2023 Grammys, Beyoncé became the most awarded artist in history.
Georg Solti: 31 awards - The late conductor Solti not only holds the record for the highest number of Grammy awards won in any genre at 31 but also has the most victories in the classical field.
Quincy Jones: 28 awards - Jones’s career as an artist/arranger/producer spans over 10 fields, including children’s music, jazz, pop, rap, R&B, and more.
Alison Krauss: 27 awards - Krauss holds the distinction of being the most awarded female artist in the country category. Krauss shares 14 of her victories with the band Union Station.
Chick Corea: 27 awards - Musician and composer Corea currently holds the record for the most Grammy awards in the jazz category.
Following closely behind: Pedro Boulez with 26 awards, Vladímir Horowitz and Stevie Wonder with 25 each, John Williams with 24, and U2 with 22.
