Jackman and Furness have announced their separation, telling People magazine they have split “to pursue our individual growth”.
Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, have announced that they are to separate after 27 years of marriage.

In a statement issued to People magazine on Friday, the actors said: “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
Jackman, 54, and Furness, 67, added that the communiqué is the “sole statement” they will be making about their separation.
Had been married since 1996
The pair met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series Corelli, before marrying in April the following year. They have two adopted children together: Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
