Jason Sudeikis breaks the news: ‘Ted Lasso’ is back “We’re writing season 4 now. That’s the official word”
The cult Apple TV classic and winner of 13 Emmy Awards is set to return for a fourth series.

Originally released by Apple TV in 2020, Ted Lasso became a global hit and after three series, the show has racked up 13 prestigious Emmy Awards.
Main character Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England (AFC Richmond), despite having no experience coaching soccer.

Ted’s charm, personality, naivety and humor begin to win over club owner Rebecca, the team, and those who had been skeptical about his original appointment.
In addition to starring, Sudeikis serves as executive producer with the series itself developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.
Ted Lasso 4 incoming
Speaking recently on Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast on Friday (March 14), Sudeikis revealed that Ted would be coaching a women’s team in season four — an idea planted in the season three finale when Keeley Jones (Juno Temple) suggested to Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) that the club start a women’s team.
Following confirmation of a fourth series, the Apple TV X (Twitter) account posted a message featuring a number 4 seat at the AFC Richmond stadium alluding to the next instalment of the adventurers of the Kansas City coach in England.
At present no timeline or definitive release date has been confirmed by Apple TV for the fourth series of Ted Lasso.
