Jennifer Aniston is making the rounds promoting her new movie, ‘Murder Mystery 2′, where she co-stars alongside her long-time pal Adam Sandler.

The two have been friends for 30 years, and have seen each other through many eras of fashion — yet, according to Aniston, Sandler’s style has always been the same. She only ever sees him wearing gym shorts.

Aniston and Sandler have been friends since they were in their early twenties, and so far have made three movies together, ‘Just Go With It’ in 2011, and the ‘Murder Mystery’ movies, the first one in 2020 and the sequel, ‘Murder Mystery 2′, will be available for streaming on March 31.

Appearing on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ Tuesday night, Jennifer Aniston discussed her long friendship with Sandler, and commented on his stubborn attitude about his dress code.

When the topic of Sandler’s recent achievement in winning the Mark Twain Award for his work making comedy movies, Aniston praised her friend for his talent and hard work — but slammed him for his fashion sense.

Fallon asked Aniston if it was weird to see Sandler in a suit when he showed up to accept the Mark Twain award.

“It is weird,” Aniston laughed, “because it kind of looks like he’s just playing dress-up. And he kind of just — seems very uncomfortable.”

From suit to basketball shorts

Recalling a story about Sandler not wearing a suit when he should have, Aniston told fans about that time in Italy.

“We had dinner in – we were in Italy doing the first [’Murder Mystery’ movie]. And it was – you know, a nice dinner we were invited to,” Aniston recounted, explaining how beautiful and dressed up his wife, Jackie Sandler, was for the occasion.

“And [Sandler] shows up in basketball shorts. Satin basketball shorts with white piping,” Aniston continued, acting astounded and appalled. “And Nike high-tops and a turquoise velour [shit] that had no relationship to the bottom. It was just —” Aniston trails off and looks at the laughing audience, shaking her head in disbelief.

But he kind of, you know, [said] ‘Vogue did this,’” Aniston told Fallon. “Vogue, you know, give him the style icon, made him a style icon.”

“He’s like, ‘Vogue said I was amazing like this,” Aniston said, half frustrated, half cracking up in laughter.

“So, thanks, Vogue,” Aniston says pointedly to the camera. “That’s true.”
