After he canceled his 2023 ‘Justice World Tour’, Justin Bieber fans were thinking they would be waiting a while before they would have the chance to see the popstar take the stage again — but Biebs made a surprise appearance at Toliver’s Rolling Loud on Saturday in an unexpected performance.

Justin Bieber was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which causes partial face paralysis, in 2022, and performed his last concert at Rock in Rio in September, before telling fans he needed to take a break to focus on his health.

During the California festival set, Justin Bieber surprised everyone there when he joined friend and collaborator Don Toliver on stage to sing their new song, ‘Private Landing’, from Toliver’s new album ‘Love Sick’. James Blake and Kali Uchis also joined Toliver onstage during the show.

Bieber, wearing a backwards hat and a tweed jacket from his fashion line, Drew House, sang and danced his heart out for the one song, and then he was finished.

The performance footage

Don Toliver posted a video of his and Bieber’s performance at the festival with an encouraging message to his pal.

“KEEP Going‼️‼️ KEEP Going‼️‼️,” Toliver wrote in the caption. “Let’s Go Justin … Rolling Loud LA 2023.”

Justin Bieber fans responded well to the unexpected performance, praising the singer for his bravery and willingness to show up and what he can — even if it’s one song.

Best feature and moment on the album,” one fan wrote in response.

ON STAGE WITH MR. BIEBERRRR,” someone wrote, while another said, “HEAT IT UP MICROWAVE.”

A few brief appearances

Bieber and Toliver have recorded several songs together, including Skrillex collaboration ‘Don’t Go’ and the single ‘Honest’.

Since Bieber’s diagnosis, he has made a few rare, brief appearances onstage to sing a song. He performed at rapper Takeoff’s memorial service, and joined The Kid LAROI to perform an acoustic version of their song ‘Stay’.
