K-pop star Wheesung found dead at 43, what was the cause of death?
K-pop fans are in mourning with the news that singer/songwriter Choi Whee-sung, better known as Wheesung, has died.


South Korean singer Wheesung (real name Choi Whee-sung) has been found dead, Yonhap News reported citing local Seoul law enforcement agencies on Monday.
Police were not immediately available for comment although initial reports suggest that there are no indications of foul play.
News of his death was later confirmed last night by his agency, Tajoy Entertainment. A spokesperson said that the passing of the artist had left staff and fellow artists “in deep sorrow”.

“The artist Wheesung has left us. He was found in cardiac arrest at his residence and was later pronounced dead,” they added.
Wheesung had his breakthrough success in 2002 with his R&B debut album ‘Like A Movie’, and went on to make a name for himself in the K-pop scene, fusing pop, hip-hop and R&B. It was his impressive vocal performances nd heartfelt ballads that secured his popularity.
His biggest hits include ‘Kiss’, ‘Real Love Song’ and ‘Aroma’ and he also composed songs for other K-pop artists, including Younha, G.NA, T-ara, Orange Caramel, and Twice. He also produced Ailee’s debut single, “Heaven”.
