The actor revealed back in October 2022 that he and his family moved out of their California mansion in search of a “better life.”

It seems Mark Wahlberg and his family have no regrets over their decision to leave California for Las Vegas.

Back in October 2022, the 51-year-old appeared on ‘The Talk’ and opened up about balancing his career and being a family man, and revealed that he and his family were moving.

“I want to be able to work from home,” said Wahlberg. “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there.

“So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”

Wahlberg says he and his family are loving life in Vegas

While speaking with E! News, Wahlberg says the move has been a positive one for his family.

“They love Vegas,” said Wahlberg. “I spent lots of time in LA pursuing my interests and my career, and now it’s time for them to pursue theirs.

“Everybody is thriving there. It’s been great.”

Wahlberg has been married to Rhea Durham for 13 years, and the two share four children: Ella, 18; Michael, 16; Brendan, 13; and Grace, 12.

The ‘Ted’ star revealed that along with settling into the new home, the move has come with some perks.

“I saw Adele, I saw Bruno Mars,” he said when talking about their respective Vegas residencies.

“I’ve seen quite a few shows and been to lots of great restaurants. There’s so much to do in Vegas and it’s so exciting.”

Wahlberg and his properties

Wahlberg listed his Beverly Hills home for $87.5 million back in April 2022 after purchasing the 30,500-square-foot-estate for just $8.25 million back in 2009.

The mansion features 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms. It also comes with a wine cellar, five-hole golf course, tennis court, skate park and a home theatre.

After deciding to leave the spacious California mansion, Wahlberg and his family purchased a home in Summerlin, which is located just outside of Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Wahlberg purchased a $15.6 million property in July.
