Mary Steenburgen joins Ted Danson in Season 2 of ‘A Man on the Inside": This is the couple’s relationship timeline

Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson have been together for approximately 32 years and married for 30 years.

The couple met back in 1983 (at an audition for the film Cross Creek) and started dating a decade later as the met up again on the set of the film Pontiac Moon).

Two years later the couple tied the knot and remain happily married to this day.

The couple have worked together frequently and often appear in each other’s projects, sometimes playing a couple and other times playing fictionalized versions of themselves.

1994’s Pontiac Moon is the film where they fell for each other and in the movie played a husband and wife.

Over time they have also worked in the likes of Gulliver’s Travels (1996), Ink (1996–1997), Living with the Dead (2002), It Must Be Love (2004) and will work together on the second season of A Man on the Inside (2025). In Season 2 of this Netflix series, Steenburgen joined the cast to play the love interest to Danson’s character.
