Millie Bobby Brown on the ‘Smartless’ podcast: “I have a hard time with social media, I don’t like it.”
The ‘Stranger Things’ actress is 21 years old and has over 63 million followers on Instagram, but she’s not a big fan of spending time on the app.

Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett interviewed the actress in their latest podcast and Millie Bobby Brown didn’t disappoint. The actress gave some insight into her early days, family and even how she knew she’d gotten the role as Eleven and the signs that made it clear on the plane to Los Angeles and the hotel she stayed, “I was on row 11 and in the hotel on floor 11,” she said. “Everything just seemed really weird, positive and optimistic.”
The actress talked about her pets too: She has dogs, horses, cows, donkeys, etc. on her farm in Georgia and has names for most of them. She went on to say her in-laws are the most down-to-earth people you could meet, “It’s been so great and he (Jon Bon Jovi) is very much there for me and he’s so informative. His wisdom is ridiculous. He’s such a great person.”
The actress was on the podcast to talk about everything under the sun, but also commented on her latest project with Chris Pratt, ‘The Electric State,’ which premieres on Netflix on March 14.
Not a fan of social media
Millie Bobby Brown surprised the podcasters when she said she doesn’t have Instagram on her phone and that someone helps her manage it, “I have a hard time with social media, I don’t like it,” she said. “I do not like TikTok, so I am not a fan of TikTok. TikTok is a platform where I see more negative than positive. I’m out of the loop.”
The actress gave a very interesting insight into her current life, projects, family life and growing up as a child actor. You can listen to her and her sometimes British, sometimes American accent here on the Smartless podcast.
