Pamela Anderson has spoken up about her thoughts on the Hulu show ‘Pam & Tommy’ claiming she refuses to watch it.

Pam & Tommy’ follows Pamela Anderson (played by Lily James) and Tommy Lee (played by Sebastian Stan) as their honeymoon sex tape is stolen and leaked to the public. ‘Pam and Tommy’ is a look into the wild life of actress Anderson and musician, Lee.

Since the show was released on Hulu in February 2022 it has received numerous awards like an Emmy Award and two Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards, as well as nominations for awards shows such as PGA Awards, Critics Choice Awards, Golden Globes, and more.

“The series really gives me nightmares,” Anderson said in her upcoming documentary. “I have no desire to watch it. I never watched the tape, I’m never going to watch this.

Pam & Tommy’ currently has a 79 percent critics score and a 67 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

With the goal of getting to tell her own story the ‘Baywatch’ star is releasing her Netflix documentary ‘Pamela, A Love Story’ on January 31.

What does Anderson think of the adaptation?

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 55-year-old actress opens up about the 1995 scandal and how her life changed during that time.

“[The producers] should have had my permission before making the series. Because nobody really knows what we were going through at the time.”

A source close to the actress later told PEOPLE that the miniseries was hard for Anderson since she just wanted to move on with her life.

“This was a very traumatic time of her life,” the source said. “She’s a really good person, and I think all she’s really ever wanted was to be married and have a partner and have a nice life.”

Lily James reached out to Anderson before shooting ‘Pam & Tommy.’

Although Anderson will not watch the show, she did reveal to The New York Times that the actress portraying her, Lily James, sent a handwritten letter before she began filming, which Anderson never read.

“It was already hurtful enough the first time,” Anderson said. “It’s like one of those things where you’re going, ‘Really?’ People are still capitalizing off that thing?”

What’s next for Pamela Anderson?

Besides her Netflix documentary coming out on January 31, Anderson also has her memoir ‘Love, Pamela’ releasing the same day. The memoir is set to show “a celebration of imperfections” and “one girl’s messy life.

“These are all my feelings, about my life nowoe is me, though sometimes were tough,” Anderson told PEOPLE. “I made it through and had to find love in grace and dignity mixed with humor, acceptance, and forgiveness. I’m proud of the final product and that it’s (the tape) behind me.
