The British royal family have understandably stayed out of the limelight in recent times, with King Charles III and Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, both having had high-profile health issues to contend. However, on Sunday, the latter offered a glimpse into her home life with Prince William and their children on social media during the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England.

The official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account shared a clip of children Charlotte and Louis watching the game on TV (that’s right, just like any other family), cheering on England with their replica shirts on. Their daughter and youngest son were snapped from the back, with their names and ages printed on their jerseys.

As part of the British royal family, William, Kate and family were obviously rooting for the eventual runners-up, who they paid tribute to in a brief message, as well as offering their congratulations to the winners.

@england, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W & C,” reads the text accompanying the photo of Charlotte and Louis.

Whether William can take any credit for the picture seems doubtful, as he and eldest son George, 10, actually attended the final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion. We can only assume, then, that Kate was the one on photography duty as she watched the game with her two youngest kids.

Princess of Wales presents Alcaraz with Wimbledon trophy in rare public appearance

Earlier on Sunday, Middleton and Charlotte had been at the 2024 Wimbledon men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic.

The Princess of Wales presented the Spaniard with the trophy for the second year in succession.

It was only the second time Middleton had been seen in public after revealing in March that she had been undergoing chemotherapy, with planned abdominal surgery at the start of the year discovering she was suffering from cancer.
