Salma Hayek and her husband, Kering chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault are on holiday in Wadi Rum, Jordan, where the actress posed for her husband in the sunshine with a face fully free of makeup.

The couple have been married since 2009. Hayek and the French businessman began dating in 2006 and had their daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, in 2007.

Gallivanting in Jordan

Hayek shared the series of her candid shots captured by Pinault to Instagram on Wednesday, where the actress frolics among the red rocks in the sun and lounges on a red pashmina blanket. Hayek appears to be in holiday bliss, as she gazes into the great unknown, lifting her face to the sun.

“Inhaling the magic of Jordan,” Hayek wrote in the caption of the post.

The 56-year-old smiles in the photos and looks relaxed, with her long hair loose around her shoulders. In one of the pictures, she is laying on the blanket with her head down as though she were dreaming.

The Salma Hayek video montage

In a second Instagram post about her trip, Hayek posted a video montage of various footage the couple captured on their trip in Jordan.

Salma Hayek wears a green silk blouse and loose silk pants, this time with her hair pulled back and wearing eyeglasses. Pinault is in the video, with Hayek standing beside him smiling with her hand on his chest.

The song ‘Desert Rose’ plays in the background as Hayek greets a camel and photographs a donkey, and in another shot in the video, the actress wears sweatpants and pets a very tired and hungry-looking stray dog.

She admires several other animals as well as the striking architecture and her new hand-crafted jewelry, and mingles with locals.

“Wandering through the ancient wonders of Jordan,” Hayek wrote in the caption, “one step at a time.”

“Salma loves animals!” one person wrote in the comments, “Few famous women in this world have that level of empathy!”
