Scarlett Johansson confirms she will appear in ‘Jurassic World 4’

Johansson confesses to being a big fan of ‘Jurassic Park’, and having wanted to participate in the saga for years.

Although it was an open secret, Scarlett Johansson has confirmed her participation in the new reboot of ‘Jurassic Park’.

Without either Chris Pratt or Bryce Dallas-Howard but featuring Rupert Friend, this new Jurassic saga will be set in another time, shortly after what was seen in the ‘Jurassic World’ trilogy.

As anticipated, it is about “three teenagers and three adults trapped on an island. The actress, who seems to have definitively left her role as Black Widow behind, said she has been wanting to appear in the saga that Michael Crichton created on paper almost 35 years ago for years.

Scarlett Johansson leads the Jurassic saga

“I’m an enormous Jurassic Park fan” Johansson said in an interview with ComicBook. “I’m such an enormous fan of the franchise and huge nerd for it. I’m just like, I can’t even, I’m pinching myself. I’ve been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years”.

“I’m like, ‘I’ll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I’ll do the craft service!’ I’ll do anything for it. The fact that it’s happened in this way at this time just is actually unbelievable. I can’t believe it.”

Jurassic Park was written by Michael Crichton in 1990.

The actress cannot help but show excitement about being part of this project, which is expected to include more films beyond the first. “It’s one of the first films I remember seeing in the theatre. I remember seeing it so vividly. It was like life-changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am.”

In charge of the script is David Koepp, who wrote the original film, ‘Jurassic Park’, from 1993. “The script is so incredible,” the actress added. “David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He’s so passionate about it, which is so awesome.” The new ‘Jurassic Park’ will be released next year, specifically on July 2 2025.
