Selena Gomez attends Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ concert as one of the Eras
Gomez showed her support for Swift by attending one of her Eras Tour concerts with little sister Gracie.
Taylor Swift’s highly-anticipated Eras Tour kicked off on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona and there’s been no shortage of celebrities eager to attend alongside the Swifties. This included Emma Stone, who was spotted in the Glendale crowd, and Shania Twain at the Las Vegas venue.
On Saturday night, Swift’s longtime friend, Selena Gomez, showed her support by attending the concert at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with her younger sister Gracie.
Representing an Era
The Eras Tour consists of 44 songs separated into 10 acts with each representing a different musical era from Swift’s career.
Gomez wore a white dress and cardigan with her hair in two loose buns and gentle curls to represent Swift’s ‘Folklore’ album.
Gracie wore a purple gown reminiscent of the ‘Speak Now’ album.
Gomez and Swift’s friendship
Both iconic pop singers in their own right, Gomez and Swift first met in 2008 on a double date with Nick and Joe Jonas.
“We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together!” Gomez said. “It was hysterical. It was amazing, because [Taylor] was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and cowboy boots.
“And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked.”
Since then, the two are constantly seen celebrating milestones together and cheering each other on at award shows.
“There has always been this quality of sisterhood, and I don’t say that in a basic way,” Swift said of their friendship. “I knew from when I met her I would always have her back.
“In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don’t know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.”
Gomez and Swift have performed together
They’ve even shared the stage on several occasions. Gomez has previously joined Swift on a few tours and appeared in her ‘Bad Blood’ music video.
“There’s so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don’t know about because we don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do,” Gomez said.
“She has showed up for me in ways that I could have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something.
“Stuff was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world.
“We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
