Taylor Swift is the queen of subtly in everything she does and her Eras Tour has been no exception. On Thursday the pop star performed her second night in Tampa, Florida, her second concert since reports of her breaking up with longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn began to circulate.

After seven previous shows, many fans have come to memorize Swift’s Eras Tour setlist making any changes glaringly obvious to the devoted fan. Especially a change in song or a slight change in phrasing from the star.

The song change

Swift uses a song when she goes off stage for a costume change and reappears in a new attire for a new era of her work. The transition song for the previous shows has been ‘Everything Has Changed,’ up until her shows after the breakup rumors began.

Many Swifties believe this is a subtle clue confirming her new singleness, as ‘Everything Has Changed,’ is about a happy relationship. The song she played instead was ‘Holy Ground’ which is off of the same album but instead is about looking back at a past failed relationship.

Subtle phrasing

If the song change wasn’t enough to confirm the breakup to fans, Swift also opened up the first Tampa show on Thursday night with a clever question, “Is it just me or do we have a lot of things to catch up on?”

Her subtle hints only got seemingly more obvious as she performed her second night in Tampa on Friday. Before the singer performed ‘Lover’ a song about being currently in love, Swift gave a mini introduction speech to her audience.

“Some of these may be songs that started being written about my life or something that I felt at one point…but when you sing them tonight they will be about you and your life,” she explained before singing.

Although Swift may have just been talking about her life’s work in music and how it relates to the audience, many fans interrupted this as confirming her breakup.
