Update:

Since its inception in September 2022, the New Heights podcast hosted by brothers Travis and Jason Kelce has been a roaring success.

It has become one of the most-listened-to sports podcast on Spotify and a top sports podcast on Apple Podcasts as the brothers discuss a myriad of issues across a number of sports.

By the end of 2024, the podcast had 2.5 million subscribers with Travis Kelce’s romantic relationship with global pop superstar Taylor Swift significantly boosting the podcast’s popularity, attracting a wider audience beyond just football fans.

Swift fans angered

However it’s these very Taylor Swift fans that have been angered after a questionnaire from podcast production company Wondery.

In the multiple choice options in the questionnaire, one asks about the motivation to listen to ‘New Heights’ with:

“I was drawn to the prospect of hearing details and clues about Taylor Swift’s life and her relationship with Travis,” read one option.

Another read, “I like feeling like a part of the community that supports Taylor’s happiness outside of her music.

Swift fans took to social media and blasted the survey as screenshots of it circulated online, with many finding it “kind of gross” for Wondery to “ask so many questions about Taylor.”

Other fans defender Travis and Jason pointing the finger squarely at Wondery.

The message obviously got through as the same ‘New Heights’ survey has now been recirculated without the Taylor Swift references.
