Update:

Hollywood memorabilia captures our imaginations, and owning a piece of cinematic history is a dream for many. Now, that dream could become a reality as a notable property from a Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet film hits the market.

The 2008 romantic drama Revolutionary Road showed off the now very familiar acting talents of DiCaprio and Winslet as Frank and April Wheeler, a young couple navigating the complexities of 1950s suburban life. Their neighbors, Milly and Shep Campbell – portrayed by Kathryn Hahn and David Harbour – played a pivotal role in the narrative.

Here’s a reminder of the emotional movie, and the house, of course.

Where is the Campbells’ home?

Interestingly, the house that served as the Campbells' residence is now up for sale. Built in 1973, this New England center hall colonial was meticulously transformed by the film’s production team to reflect the 1950s aesthetic. Production designer Kristi Zea and her team dedicated approximately five weeks to revamp both the Campbell and Wheeler homes, drawing inspiration from period photographs to ensure authenticity.

Located in Darien, Connecticut, the property boasts four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, as reported by NewsTimes. The basement features a slate pool table and workshop, catering to both leisure and utility. Natural light permeates the interior, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Outside, the half-acre lot includes an in-ground pool, perfect for relaxation.

How can you buy the Revolutionary Road house?

For those intrigued by the idea of owning this slice of film history, the house is listed at $1.6 million. Considering that real estate tracking firm Redfin said the median home price in Darien’s 06820 ZIP code was $2,103,000 as of December 2024, this property presents a unique opportunity. Homes in this area typically sell above the list price and spend about 28 days on the market, with the most sought-after properties selling even faster.

If you’re interested in making this cinematic landmark your own, the listing is managed by Gunnar Edelstein of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, who can be reached at 203-722-2551. Just watch out for the neighbors.
