Las Vegas hosts its first ever Super Bowl on Sunday, as the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the 58th edition of the NFL’s championship game. Alongside the anticipation that surrounds the match itself, there’s also plenty of excitement about the Super Bowl’s traditional Halftime Show.

Usher to bring “energy and love” to Halftime Show

For Super Bowl LVIII, eight-time Grammy-winning singer Usher has been chosen to perform during the break at Allegiant Stadium.

The 45-year-old will be making his second career appearance in a Halftime Show, having featured as a guest in The Black Eyed Peas’ performance at Super Bowl XLV in 2011. Thirteen years on from his Super Bowl debut, the R&B artist now returns as the headline act - and has promised a show characterised by “energy and love”.

Ahead of Usher’s Halftime Show, the singer is to offer a press conference in which he’s set to provide more details about his plans for his performance.
