Vanessa Hudgens, Lilly Singh and Ashley Graham set to host official Oscars preshow

In anticipation of the 2023 Academy Awards next Sunday, March 12, ABC has confirmed that Vanessa Hudgens will return to host her second consecutive Oscar preshow, ‘Countdown to the Oscars’. She’s joined by YouTuber Lilly Singh and model Ashley Graham.

The show starts 90 minutes before the Oscars ceremony and gives viewers a look at the nominees, performers, and presenters, and a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into putting on the prestigious award ceremony.

The jam-packed day

In addition to Hudgens, Singh, and Graham sharing co-hosting duties, the preshow will also have Reece Feldman, a TikTok content creator, covering backstage coverage of the Oscars. TV personality Rocsi Diaz will give viewers an inside look at the nominees as a correspondent for the Academy member’s viewing party in New York City.

The show is produced by David Chamberlain, and Michael Antinoro, with showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner.

Last year’s preshow was hosted by Hudgens and Terrence J, Brandon Maxwell, and Sofia Carson. This year, Carson will be performing ‘Applause’ from the American-Italian anthology film ‘Tell It Like a Woman’ with Diane Warren, for which the singers are also nominated for Best Original Song.

“It’s the greatest honor of my life that Diane chose me to be the voice of this anthem and I’m so grateful and thrilled and just honored, deeply, deeply, deeply honored. I pinch myself every day,” Carson told E! News.

ABC anchor Linsey Davis and Whit Johnson will be hosting the red-carpet show ‘On the Red Carpet Live: Countdown to the Oscars 95′ at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, where they will interview Oscar nominees before the Hudgens-hosted preshow begins.

When to watch the Oscars preshows

‘On the Red Carpet Live: Countdown to the Oscars 95′ hosted by Davis and Johnson will air from 1:00-4:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, March 12 on ABC News.

Then at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT, ‘Countdown to the Oscars’ will begin before the official Oscars ceremony begins at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. on ABC.
