Police reports say that Country singer Morgan Wallen was taken into custody following an incident where he allegedly threw a chair from the rooftop of a six-story bar in Nashville’s busy Broadway district on Sunday night.

The incident occurred at Chief’s, a bar owned by fellow country artist Eric Church. The chair reportedly landed just a few feet away from two police officers who were stationed on Broadway, authorities stated.

What was Morgan Wallen arrested for?

The “Wasted on You” singer was formally charged early Monday with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Wallen’s attorney Worrick Robinson said “At 10:53pm Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

An arrest affidavit detailed that video evidence from the rooftop showed Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof.” Witnesses corroborated this account, stating they saw Wallen pick up the chair and toss it over him, followed by laughter.

Arrested at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, Wallen’s bond was established at $15,250, according to online records from the Davidson County Jail.

Wallen posted bond and was snapped being escorted into a car outside the Detention centre around 4 a.m., just hours after his arrest. The singer was previously charged with a DUI in July 2016 but the case was dropped.
