What do we know about The Weeknd’s new album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ ahead of release?
Hurry Up Tomorrow will be the sixth studio album from the Canadian singer-songwriter and is set for a global release on January 24, 2025.

The countdown is well underway with just a matter of days remaining before fans get to hear the new studio offering from Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd).
‘Hurry up Tomorrow’ is his first effort since 2022’s highly acclaimed ‘Dawn FM’ which ended up featuring as many critics ‘album of the year’ spawning global hits such as ‘Take my Breath’ and ‘Sacrifice’.
Despite the artist nor Republic Records yet to confirm the tracklisting, we do know that the likes of Playboy Carti and Anitta make guest appearances with the record serving as the final part of the trilogy following 'After Hours' and ‘Dawn FM’.
Indeed, the new album could be the final time we see the Canadian artist release music under his The Weeknd stage name with Tesfaye claiming in 2023 that he wants to ‘shed his skin and be reborn’ with future releases potentially being released as Abel Tesfaye.

Hurry up Tomorrow: production team
The album was recorded in Los Angeles with an extensive production team involved in its development. The Weeknd, Martin, Oscar Holter, Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Ojivolta, Twisco, and Sean Solymar are all credited with production work on the record.
The album is preceded by the three singles: “Dancing in the Flames“, ”Timeless” (with Playboi Carti), and “São Paulo” (featuring Anitta).
Film set to drop in May
A longform film ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ inspired by the album will also get a nationwide release later in May of this year.
Directed by Trey Edward Shults the movie features Tesfaye (who makes his big screen debut). The Canadian also stars alongside Jenna Ortega, Irish actor Barry Keoghan, and Gabby Barrett.
The album will be released across all digital platforms with limited edition pre-sale vinyl versions already being sold out well ahead of release.
‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ will also be released as a standard CD, LP and special edition coloured vinyl.
The artist is set to perform a one-off show at the Pasadena Rose Bowl to tie in with the album release on January 25.
