TED LASSO

Fans of ‘Ted Lasso’ won’t have to wait long for the hit Apple TV+ series to return.

Season 2 of the hit series premiered back in the summer of 2021, and while the wait for the new campaign has been long, that looks to be over.

When will Ted Lasso Season 3 begin?

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 will officially begin on March 15 on Apple TV+, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday after that.

In the 12-episode third season of “Ted Lasso,” the newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League and Nate (Nick Mohammed), now hailed as the “wonder kid,” has gone to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United,” reads the official synopsis for the new season.

“In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt).

“Meanwhile, while Ted (Jason Sudeikis) deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) navigates being the boss of her own PR agency.

“Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.”

New trailer for ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3

Along with a premiere date, Apple released the first teaser for the new season.

Although the trailer doesn’t reveal much ahead of the new season, it does show that AFC Richmond are ready to believe again following the contentious departure of Nate Shelley, who is now the manager of West Ham United.

‘Ted Lasso’ has been a success

The series has received critical acclaim, particularly for its performance, with Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein all singled out for their roles.

Its first season was nominated for 20 Primetime Emmy Awards, making it the most nominated first-season comedy in the history of the awards show.

That success carried over to Season 2, as ‘Ted Lasso’ became the most Emmy-winning comedy in 2022, taking home awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.
