When is the 2026 Golden Globe ceremony? Date, time and how to watch and stream online
The best in TV and film will be honored at the 83rd edition of the Golden Globe Awards, which take place this week.
Fresh from winning Best Picture at the Critics’ Choice Awards, One Battle After Another leads the nominees at the 83rd Golden Globes, which are to be held in Beverly Hills, California, this weekend.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s black comedy is up for an unmatched nine accolades, including Best Musical or Comedy Motion Picture.
The film’s star, Leonardo DiCaprio, is in the running for Best Actor honors, while Anderson is among the Best Director nominees, having scooped the same award at Sunday’s Critics’ Choice gala.
How to watch the 2026 Golden Globes in the U.S.
Hosted by the comedian Nikki Glaser, the 2026 Golden Globes take place at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 11. In the U.S., the gala will air on CBS from 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. Viewers in the States can also watch it on Paramount+, while further streaming options include fubo, which offers new users a free trial.
“Most fun I have ever had”
Glaser hosts the ceremony for the second straight year, having been confirmed as 2026 anchor back in March.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus, who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
What other films and TV shows lead the Golden Globe nominees?
Announced in December, the nominations for the 83rd Golden Globes were also dominated by Joachim Trier’s multi-language comedy-drama Sentimental Value, which is just behind One Battler After Another on eight nods. Sentimental Value’s nominations include Best Drama Motion Picture, and Best Director for Trier.
In the Golden Globes’ television categories, the HBO series The White Lotus has been nominated in an unparalleled six categories, among them Best Drama.
Mike White’s murder mystery, whose third season was released in early 2025, is followed by the Netflix drama Adolescence, which has five nominations.

New category to make Golden Globes debut
The 2026 Golden Globe Awards will feature one new category: Best Podcast. Six shows have been nominated for the award: Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard; Call Her Daddy; Good Hang with Amy Poehler; The Mel Robbins Podcast; SmartLess; and Up First.
