Nickelodeon are once again set to host the popular Kids’ Choice Awards, an annual show that honours the biggest stars in TV, sports, music and film as voted for by viewers of the network.

This year, Barbie dominates the list of nominees for the various awards, with the July 13th ceremony also set to highlight nominees such as Travis Kelce, The Simpsons and Wonka.

For the first time ever, virtual presenters will host the show, with SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (Bill Fagerbakke) ready to take on the role of introducing the awards and prizes. The decision for Spongebob to host was taken due to the fact that the show is celebrating its 25th anniversary on our screens.

Where are the Kids’ Choice Awards 2024 being held?

The awards are set to take place at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, California with the action getting underway at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Saturday July 13, 2024.

The 12,829 capacity arena was opened way back in 1965 and is home to the UCLA Bruins men’s and women’s basketball teams.

While various locations have been selected for the award ceremony over the years, the Pauley Pavilion is the venue that holds the record for the highest number of Kids’ Choice Awards.

Voting takes place on the official Nickelodeon website, with the organisers telling the viewers to go crazy and “vote once, vote twice, vote a hundred gazillion times! Just hit VOTE AGAIN to - well, uh, vote again. It’s the only awards show where kids can help us choose the winners, so your votes are SUPER important to us! You know what they say - you can pick your friends, you can pick your Kids’ Choice Awards winners, you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends’ Kids’ Choice Awards winners’ nose(s).”

TV viewers in the United States will be able to watch the gala on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, Nick Jr., TVLand, CMT and MTV2. Your streaming options include fubo, which offers a free trial.
