The Kennedy Center Honors is an annual event that celebrates individuals in the United States who have made outstanding contributions to the performing arts. Established in 1977, the Kennedy Center Honors recognize lifetime artistic achievement in various fields, including music, dance, theater, opera, and film.

The 46th Kennedy Center Honors recipients, chosen by the Kennedy Center’s Board of Trustees, were honored in Washington on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023.

The honorees were actor and comedian Billy Crystal, celebrated soprano Renée Fleming, singer-songwriter and Bee Gees member Barry Gibb, actress, singer, and rapper Queen Latifah, and singer Dionne Warwick.

During the Honors ceremony, held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the honorees were celebrated through a series of performances, tributes, and speeches.
