Dakota Johnson has sparked rumors that she’s found a new love interest amid her spilt with Chris Martin earlier this year. The Materialists actress was seen having a cozy candlelit dinner with singer Role Model reports TMZ.

The outlet cannot confirm that the two are actually “officially an item,” but TMZ was told that RM and Johnson “got very close” and “Dakota was lying on him all cuddled up.”

Who is Role Model?

Johnson’s dinner date’s real name is Tucker Pillsbury, originally from Maine, he now lives in Los Angeles. He’s been single since 2023 after he broke up with influencer Emma Chamberlain. Dakota ended her eight-year-long, on-again, off-again relationship with Coldplay’s lead singer in June.

Role Model, a stage name he chose for his love of Paul Rudd’s character in 2008 comedy film ‘Role Models’, began his musical career 2016 as a rapper before transitioning to singing and songwriting.

His foray into music was a bit of an accident, beginning at university while studying film. After breaking his wrist for a second time, Tucker was cooped up in his dorm room with recording equipment that a couple friends had left there.

Watching YouTube tutorials, he taught himself how to use it and began recording his own music and posting it online under different stage names, settling on Role Model in 2017. That same year he released his first extended play album, ‘Arizona in Summer’ which gained him a wide following and national attention.

Interscope signed him in 2018, and he has since released two more EPs, ‘Oh, How Perfect’ in 2019 and ‘Our Little Angel’ in 2020. He has also produced two studio albums, ‘Rx’ in 2022 and ‘Kansas Anymore’ in 2024, the latter was reportedly inspired by his split with Chamberlain. He has nearly 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
