Who is the host of the 2025 Country Music Awards?
Hosting the ceremony for the second year running, a singer who jointly leads the nominations with six alongside Megan Moroney and Ella Langley.
It promises to be a busy night for Lainey Wilson who not only will be hosting the 59th edition of the Annual Country Music Association Awards, she is also up for several awards herself and will be performing a song live on stage.
Lainey Wilson to host the CMAs for the second time
Wilson co-hosted last year’s CMA ceremony with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning but tonight she will be hosting on her own. The 33-year-old singer-songwriter is also nominated for six awards: Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Whirlwind), Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year (4x4xU), Song of the Year (4x4xU) and Music Video of the Year (Somewhere Over Laredo). Lainey leads the nominations alongside Megan Moroney and Ella Langley, all with six.
Lainey released her self-titled first album in 2014. Her fourth release Bell Bottom Country went platinum in the US and gold in Canada. And she has been a regular at the CMAs, having picked up nine awards - the same as Dolly Parton and The Judds, making her one of the most successful country stars since the CMA awards began in 1967. Of the solo female artists, only Miranda Lambert has won more CMA awards, with 14.

How to watch the 2025 Country Music Awards
The 59th edition of the Annual Country Music Association Awards takes place this evening at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The event starts at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT and will be aired live in the US by ABC and will be available to stream tomorrow, November 20, on Hulu.
Among this year’s nominees in the 12 categories are: Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini and Cody Johnson. Vince Gill is set to become he 10th recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners and nominees are voted on by “over 7,000 Professional voting members” of the Country Music Association.
