The 96th Academy Awards are upon us and Jimmy Kimmel returns to the stage as master of ceremonies for the fourth time. He belongs to a select group that has repeated as hosts of the most important film awards. But we also need presenters for each of the awards, getting their moment to entertain us with their prepared introductions. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, and sometimes we just try not to cringe.

This year, ‘Oppenheimer’ leads with 13 nominations, including for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actor. ‘Poor Things’ is the second film with the most nominations, being included in 11 categories, while ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ appears in 10 categories, and ‘Barbie’ has been nominated eight times.

List of presenters for the 2024 Oscars

As is the case every year, the list of presenters is a mix of past Oscar winners, newcomers, as well as individuals with some connection to the nominees.

Among the first group of presenters, the Academy has included four winners in acting categories from last year: Brendan Fraser from ‘The Whale’, and Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis from ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’. Zendaya and Michelle Pfeiffer will also be presenting.

Additionally, the list includes past winners such as Mahershala Ali (‘Moonlight’ and ‘Green Book’), Jessica Lange (‘Tootsie’ and ‘Blue Sky’), Matthew McConaughey (‘Dallas Buyers Club’), Lupita Nyong’o (‘12 Years a Slave’), Sam Rockwell (‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’), Nicolas Cage (‘Leaving Las Vegas’), and Al Pacino (‘Scent of a Woman’).

The second round of presenters includes Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Keaton, Regina King, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate McKinnon, Rita Moreno, John Mulaney, Catherine O’Hara, Octavia Spencer, and Ramy Youssef.

Emily Blunt, Cynthia Erivo, America Ferrera, Sally Field, Ryan Gosling, Ariana Grande, Ben Kingsley, Melissa McCarthy, Issa Rae, Tim Robbins, Steven Spielberg, Mary Steenburgen, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlize Theron, Christoph Waltz, and Forest Whitaker will also be presenting.
