In fact, ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’s’ first ever guest was none other than actor Tom Hanks. The show announced via Twitter that Hanks would join Corden for its first ever episode, which aired on March 23, 2015.
Other guest appearances during the first week of ‘The Late Late Show’ included Kerry Washington, Will Ferrell, and Kevin Hart.

Hanks and Corden had a good time during the first ‘The Late Late Show’ with the new host. The two performed a skit acting out Hanks’ filmography, complete with a green screen backdrop and fun outfit changes.
The two performed snippets of some of Hanks’ most well-loved films, including ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘A League of Their Own’, and ‘Catch Me If You Can’.
It was fun bits like this that brought a smile to many viewers’ faces.

Rumors circulated that One Direction might join for a reunion, but those were quickly shut down. Fans were one-fifth right, though: Harry Styles will be making an appearance on the finale, along with actor Will Ferrell.
Other notable guest stars during this final week include Billie Eilish, Natalie Portman, and Mila Kunis.
Fans of the show anticipate a bittersweet finale this Thursday. Many are excited to see Styles and Ferrell make one final appearance, but are also sad to see Corden’s time on ‘The Late Late Show’ come to an end after eight years.
