After rumors circulated that One Direction would appear on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, we now know who the guests will be for his final episode.

The two stars set to attend the finale of the Late Late Show are Harry Styles and Will Ferrell. Both have appeared multiple times on the show since Corden took over in 2015.

The official Late Late Show account tweeted the news on Monday, after denying the One Direction rumors last week.

“Nobody loves the boys more than us…but this story just isn’t true. What is true is we’ve got an absolutely brilliant 2 hour finale planned to celebrate 8 years of #LateLateShow at 10pm on April 27th,” the account wrote last week.

More details on the final episode

The show’s eight-year and nine-season run with Corden is set to come to an end on the night of April 27 at 12:37 a.m., with a primetime special at 10 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+. Tom Cruise will also be included in one final sketch with the host as part of the finale.

Other celebs dropping by during The Late Late Show’s final two weeks include Billie Eilish, Josh Gad, Jennifer Garner, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Billy Porter, Lisa Kudrow, Sharon Stone and Natalie Portman.

As previously announced, CBS will air the one-hour primetime special ‘The Last Late Late Show With James Corden Carpool Karaoke Special’ just ahead of ‘Late Late Show’ final telecast.

It was hard for Corden to leave the show, but he let fans know back in April of last year that the decision was one he had considered for quite some time.

“It’s been a really hard decision to leave because I’m so immensely proud of the show,” he said in a statement at the time.

“I always thought I’d do it for five years and then leave, and then I stayed on. I’ve really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure.”
