Who’s nominated at the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards?

The Latin music award show has some big names nominated this year.

The 35th Premio Lo Nuestro award show is one of the biggest ceremonies celebrating Latin music in the United States and is the first award show of the year that honors the success of some of Latin music’s biggest stars.

With 39 categories, and 192 artists nominated, the nominees represent a diverse range of musical styles across Latin America.

The winners are chosen via a public vote, making the award show a true representation of what’s popular in Latin America. Here’s some of the biggest nominees.

Artists with the most nominations

Among the top nominees are Sebastián Yatra, Bad Bunny, Becky G, Camilo and Grupo Firme. Colombian artist Yatra leads with nominations in 10 different categories, including Premio Lo Nuestro Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for ‘Tacones rojos’, and Album of the Year for ‘Dharma’.

Next is Bad Bunny with nine nominations, competing with Yatra in many of the same categories, including the Premio Lo Nuestro Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year for his tours ‘El Último Tour del Mundo’ and ‘World’s Hottest Tour’. He’s also nominated for Male Urban Artist of the Year, “Urban” referring to rap or reggaeton music in Spanish.

Becky G also has nine nominations, including Female Artist of the Year, and Remix of the Year for the song ‘La ducha’ with Elena Rosa, María Becerra, Greeicy, and TINI.

Camilo leads the pop nominations in categories such as Pop Song of the Year for ‘Pegao’, and his album ‘De Adentro Pa Afuera’ is nominated for Pop Album of the Year.

Leading nominations in the Regional Mexican categories is Grupo Firme, with ‘Ya supérame (en vivo)’ nominated for Regional Mexico Song of the Year. Grupo Firme and Colombian singer Maluma are nominated for Banda Song of the Year for ‘Cada quien’.

Reggaeton legend Ivy Queen will also receive a Premio Lo Nuestro legacy award for her work in the urban music genre over the past three decades.
