The Billboard Music Awards night is one of the most anticipated fixtures on the entertainment calendar, and this year is no different.

Taylor Swift, one of the most talked-about names over the past 18 months, is set to be the star once again as she is nominated in a mind-blowing 16 different categories.

Sitting alongside finalists that include Zach Bryan, Sabrina Carpenter and Drake, the Top Artist category is an award where Swift is a heavy favourite to see success. She’s also heading up the Top Female Artist category, going up against Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, SZA and Chappell Roan.

However, despite her domination of the various categories, surprisingly, Swift’s presence at the event is not guaranteed, as she has not said anything publicly about attending. The awards will not be a regular event that we are used to, one with a red carpet, making it uncertain whether or not anyone will actually make an appearance that is not a pre-recorded video. As for Swift appearing on video, that seems like a closely kept secret that will only be made known once the awards come round.

The same goes for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, whose presence is also an unknown.

Swift has just finished her ridiculously long ‘Eras Tour’, which saw her partake in around 150 shows across the world, raking in over $1 billion in total. Her last show, which took place in Vancouver, saw the end to an astonishing run of performances over the past year and a half.
