When does Season 23 of American Idol start?
American Idol has yet to announce the premiere date for season 23. However, the super-fans have a good idea of when to expect the new season to start given that in the past, the show has premiered around mid-February.

Who will replace Katy Perry as a judge on American Idol?
American Idol host Ryan Seacrest said that outgoing Perry “brought an amazing generosity and love and big heart, that kind of spirit to the show. To whoever comes in, we hope they’ll have that same kind of impact.”
On whether or not the touted Megan Trainor could take the place of the ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer, Seacrest said “She was very good. Meghan is a super talent, too, and she’s got a great sense of humor. She’s fun, and she’s spontaneous.”
As well as Trainor, country star Jelly Roll admitted that while he has not been offered anything, he’d certainly be up for the gig “Of course! Consider?! I’ve accepted the job, and they haven’t offered it.”
And finally, Bon Jovi has been linked with the job of filling Perry’s shoes, with a source telling Yahoo that “Jon is the undisputed top contender to succeed Katy”.
