Will there be a season 3 of ‘House of the Dragon’? Everything we know so far
Here’s everything we know about season 3 of ‘The House of the Dragon’.
Season 2 of House of the Dragon ended and just like that, everything appears in place for the show to carry on in the most dramatic of fashions.
First things first, we already know for certain that season 3 exists, as it was announced before we even got to feast our eyes on the action that has just unfolded, and the creators have been talking about even making another one. But I’m getting ahead of myself...
When will season 3 of The House of the Dragon arrive? Has it been filmed?
We know that season three will arrive either in late 2025 or 2026, which right now feels like a long way away. But don’t worry, as we saw a two-year hiatus between season one and season two, and on top of that, HBO are said to release the new GOT spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in late 2025, filling the gap delightfully.
Will the book be similar to the series?
Polygon.com reckons that reading the book is not a bad idea, saying that Dance of Dragons chapters in Fire & Blood “will help you understand the broad strokes that The House of the Dragon is going to hit pretty well” without giving away any spoiler as “the show is adding incredible amounts of detail to events the book only sketches out briefly.”
What do we know about season 3 of House of the Dragon?
We saw quite a lot to get excited about in the end-of-season trailer, with Daemon rejoining Team Rhaenyra. While the cast and plot details for House of the Dragon Season 3 are under wraps, we know that the two of them, along with their dragon riders, are heading to King’s Landing with one thing on their minds: taking over.
