Ronaldinho 3 The one and only
Update:

Netflix’s brand‑new documentary on Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho Gaúcho, offers exclusive access, never‑before‑seen footage, and interviews with some of the biggest names in the game — all to explore the life and legacy of the iconic player.

Brazilian soccer has long been synonymous with skill, flair, creativity, and pure, unadulterated entertainment. Netflix is celebrating that legacy with a slate of original documentaries. Leading the lineup is Ronaldinho: The One and Only, a three‑episode series that traces the rise of one of the most gifted players the sport has ever seen. The documentary blends rare archival footage with recent interviews from global stars, including Lionel Messi, Neymar, Roberto Carlos, Carles Puyol, Gilberto Silva, Felipão...

Ronaldinho and the art of ‘Jogo Bonito’

More than a highlight reel of trophies and unforgettable goals, the series aims to reveal the person behind the legend — the player who took jogo bonito to new artistic levels.

“This sport creates a unique connection with audiences. These are stories born on the streets, in neighborhoods, within families, spanning generations and reinforcing a sense of pride,” Elisa Chalfon, Head of Nonfiction at Netflix Brazil explains. “We deeply believe in the power of telling great sports stories. This is an important pillar for Netflix, and we remain committed to investing in original productions that captivate audiences—both longtime sports fans and those who aren’t yet”.

Who can forget how Ronaldinho opened his account with Barcelona in stunning style in his second game? A 30-yard screamer against Sevilla, in a midnight kick-off. Or his virtuoso exhibition in El Clásico in 2005, which earned him a rare standing ovation from the Bernabéu.

Where can I watch ‘Ronaldinho: The One and Only’?

The documentary will stream exclusively on Netflix, part of the platform’s growing investment in original sports storytelling from Brazil, designed to reach fans around the world and anyone curious about the culture behind the country’s soccer magic.

‘Ronaldinho: The One and Only’ premieres on April 16, 2026. The three‑part miniseries is the first release in a broader documentary cycle that also includes Tetra: Acreditar de Novo (premiering May 7) and Várzea: Onde Nasce o Futebol (premiering June 8).
