Zendaya says she is surprised by how much attention the media pay to her kissing scenes, saying she has noticed that there is a focus on her “specifically”.

The Euphoria star is currently promoting her film ‘Challengers’ in which she is at the center of a love triangle in the world of professional tennis, which includes a number of highly-charged kissing scenes.

In an interview, alongside her co-stars Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, Zendaya was asked if she feels the abnormal amount of attention paid to her kissing scenes is used as “an excuse to get you to talk about kissing.”

Zendaya said she has “no idea” why people focus on her and her kissing scenes, but that maybe it’s because “they want it to be like a viral thing.”

She went to say she had “noticed that with me specifically. I feel like… if it was somebody else here, you probably wouldn’t be asked that question.”

Kissing - just a part of the job

Zendaya continued, saying that kissing “is a part of my job. And it is a completely normal part of the job... But yeah, it is odd that no one else gets asked about it.” She then effusively thanked the interviewer: “Thank you for bringing that up. Because I thought the same thing... I’m like, this is weird!”
