The Bureau of Labor Statistics of the US Department of Labor says the fields of medicine and technology lead the list of the highest paying jobs in the country, with positions such as cardiologists, surgeons and radiologists among the top earners.

However, there are plenty other occupations with high salaries that many Americans may be unaware of. Examples of these are Walmart store managers and USPS delivery drivers, recording salaries of up to six figures a year. Here are some jobs with surprisingly high salaries, according to a report by USA Today.

Casino manager

Average salary: $96,045 per year

The main task of a casino manager is to supervise all activities within the gaming floor, from the behavior of employees and players to prize payouts, and the paperwork that all these entail.
