Evacuation Orders issued as the Palisades Fire moved north on Friday evening: Here are the locations affected
GET OUT NOW; new evacuation orders have been issued near Encino Reservoir as the Palisades Fire spreads and strengthens on Friday.
Los Angeles County has issued another set of evacuation orders warnings for some communities now threatened by the Palisades Fire. This is the fourth day the fire has been burning.
The new evacuation order includes the areas:
- from Sunset Blvd North to Encino Reservoir. From the 405 Freeway West to Mandeville Canyon.

If you are in the Mandeville Canyon area, you must evacuate immediately, as you may need to leave on foot if emergency vehicles cannot access the roads due to their narrowness.
These zones were under an evacuation warning, which has escalated as the fire intensified on Friday evening. If you are in the evacuation area, please evacuate immediately. Evacuation orders are issued only when there is a threat to life due to the fire’s proximity and speed.

In addition to these orders, emergency officials also released evacuation warnings earlier this evening. These alerts are different from an evacuation order. Emergency officials are encouraging residents to prepare for evacuation should their doing so be ordered to stay out of harm’s way. "While no immediate action is required, we ask residents to ensure they are Ready, Set, Go!“ says the Los Angeles Fire Department.

- Northeast corner of the Palisades Fire is extending to include the area within Sepulveda / Sapphire to Mulholland to Escalon to Action Road/High Valley.
Those who need additional time to evacuate should take the warnings as an order.
The status of the fight against the Palisades Fire
The Palisades Fire has become the fourth most destructive fire in California history, burning thousands of homes, businesses, and other structures. The fire is eight percent contained and has burned more than 21,000 acres. As of Friday night, the fire had gained strength and quickly began moving toward the San Fernando Valley. However, firefighters are working to keep the fire behind Mulholland Drive.
