Buc-ee’s is set to open 17 new gas stations in the US coming soon: here are the new locations and opening dates, with some stores planned for 2026

Texas’ iconic gas station and convenience store Buc-ee’s is expanding its empire with a number of new locations set to open during the next five years.

After new stores opened this year in Mississippi, Georgia and Virginia, another three are in the pipeline for 2026: at Huber Heights, Ohio in April, Goodyear, Arizona in June and San Marcos, Texas in July.

Buc-ee’s first-ever Ohio location in Huber Heights will have 100 fueling positions,24 electric vehicle charging stations and cover 74,000 square feet, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer. The Arizona store will occupy 74,000 square feet with 120 fueling positions.

Buc-ee’s, over 40 years of top service

The stores began in 1982 with the initial location in Clute, Texas and quickly gained a cult-like following in the state. It remained a one-shop company for the next two decades, before expanding to Austin, Texas in 2003. Again, things remains fairly stable until a recent burst of new sites that emphasizes the brand’s popularity.

The first out-of-Texas location was opened in 2018 when Alabama got its first Buc-ee’s site and a number of other states have been added since then. There are now stores in Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado and Missouri.

During that time the gas station chain has gained an excellent reputation - particularly for the cleanliness of its bathrooms and superb food. It also boasts two world records; the Luling store is the largest convenience store in the world (75,593 square feet) and has the world’s longest car wash (255 feet long).
