BARGAINS

Find out how to discover the best products on Amazon that are about to drop in price in November

Bargain hunters are on the look out for money-saving deals as November gets underway, here’s how to bag some swag.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

November is a time hard working Americans are maybe more focused on bargains than any other time of year. The Friday after Thanksgiving is Black Friday, when stores across the nation offer highly promoted items at discounted prices, and just into December, on December 2, Cyber Monday sees e-commerce stores take their turn. And with Christmas just around the corner, shoppers of all ages are thinking of how to pick up gifts and stocking fillers at bargain prices.

How to take advantage of falling prices in November

One other way to hunt down a bargain, apart from taking advantage of stores planned price reductions, is to try tracking prices on items you’re keen to get your hands on.

There are price tracking sites you can use that send you automatic price alerts whenever an item you’ve got your eye on sees its price fall.

One great example of these is camelcamelcamel.com. It’s a free Amazon price tracker, with great functionality.

You can see price history, going back months or even years. And once you’ve signed up you can set up alerts via e-mail to see when the price of an item has dropped.

They also show highlighted deals so even if you don’t know quite what you want, you can find something to scratch that retail itch. (Please don’t buy stuff just for the sake of it though.)

What’s in it for camelcamelcamel? The website is an Amazon affiliate, so every time they refer a customer to Amazon who buys something, they get a kickback.

More tracking sites the better for great deals

Don’t just sign up to one tracking site, if you sign up to several, you’re more likely to see all the good deals out there.

Slick Deals, which alerts you to deals for your favorite stores, categories, or products, is a good bet, as is Invisible Hand, named after Scottish economist’s Adam Smith’s concept of an Invisible Hand that weighs supply and demand and sets prices.

Meanwhile, Shop It To Me is quite neat in that you tell it your fave brands, looks and size and they seek out the best deals for specific items you’re likely to love.

Good luck finding deals!
