A shooting at Mad Butcher in Fordyce, Arkansas, has left at least two people dead and another ten injured after a gunman opened fire at a grocery store. The Arkansas State Police, who responded to the attack, reported that the suspect was critically injured after he was confronted by authorities. Any motivations of the shooter are currently unknown, and an investigation into the tragic event has been opened.

The law enforcement response

Images circulating on social media of the area surrounding Mad Butcher show a high level of law enforcement presence as local reporters worked to make their way to the scene. Police said they arrived at the grocery store at 11 a.m. local time and were able to apprehend the suspected shooter.
